Baltimore kicker Billy Cundiff shanked a 32-yard field goal that would have tied the game at 23. Instead, New England advances to the Super Bowl.
In Baltimore’s 23-20 loss there were several plays that were the difference in the game. Lee Evans’ non-catch in the end zone should have been reviewed.
The defense held Tom Brady to 239 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.
Joe Flacco protected the ball until an interception late in the fourth quarter. Even so, he had one of his better days. He threw for 306 yards to go along with two touchdowns.
This is a bitter disappointment.
